Paulette's Wedding

Paulette and Peter were married in Toronto on March 11, 1953. Paulette had just arrived in Canada the week before. Peter had already been there some months. Paulette came over on a liner and had her 21st birthday on board ship. She had a wonderful time, and by the end of the trip had two marriage proposals! Peter was the only person she knew at her wedding. The event was organized by the Gunnings, an elderly couple with whom Peter had been living. They honeymooned at Niagara Falls.
